Following on from yesterdays posts ive decided to go into slightly more detail about the rest of the trip. As I mentioned Europe was in the grip of a Heat wave which made the parks very hot and sticky. In fact it brought the words of Aidrian Croonair to mind, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpktBGInl60 .
Of course we had our ways of staying cool and plenty of water to hand. Twice during the week I took the train down Val De Europe to the Auchan supermarket. Firstly I love the place due to its variety of produce and prices.
We drink a lot of Diet Coke etc and the bargains were too many to carry back to the hotel. If you are travelling with children I cant stress enough how important it is to stock up on drinks and snacks. We always get a mixture of fruit and sugary snacks. Their own brand pack of chocolate filled crepes is only like €1.50 for a pack of 8.
Of course with the weather Grapes and peaches were vital as the Hotel Explorers had given us a fridge in the room. I firmly believe we are being ripped off here in Ireland, I paid less than €1.50 for almost a kilo of the most succulent juicy grapes, Also something that is vital is a good supply of water, i couldnt believe the prices €1.08 for 6 1.5 liter bottle pack, that went straight into my basket.
The RER is by far my favorite way to get to and from the place as its less than €2 each way. The only problem is carrying the blinking stuff.
Back to the hotel and the Girls are chilling by the pool waiting on me,

Little did they know I had stopped at Cafe Fantasia on the way for a cold drink.

The pool at the Explorers is by far one of the best pools for children in the row. We have stayed in the Magic Circus and Kyriad hotel along here which in my opinion dont really compare, The Kyriad does not have the facility of a pool and the Magic Circus I found rather sedate.
We decided to head on down to the parks after the day had cooled to below 35, as usual we went down mainstreet saying hello to the spledid castle before walking through to Frontierland to get our fastpasses for our daily ride on BTM

The best thing about riding BTM is the fact you can sit in the shade afterward outside cafe Fuente Del Toro and eat a roll or sandwich.
This is another thing we do every second day. In the relay shop in the train-station you can get a Baguette for €0.60, we tend to buy 6 or 7 of these as we already have some cold meats from the Supermarket. Another thing I get to ad to our lunch is one of the Chicken Salads that are available here for €6.99 less infinity discount.
This is what we do on a day when we are going down later in the day, of course after this we will get snacks in somewhere like the Cable Car cafe etc. Bellies are full and off we go to Adventure isle. One thing ive yet to point out is the fact that I am a smoker. If you have seen any of my Youtube videos you will see how annoyed i get at people not obeying the park rules about smoking. I WILL ALWAYS GO TO A DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA NO EXCEPTIONS.
Of course we see that there is only a 10 minute wait for our beloved Pirates so off we go on the voyage, Of course its almost impossible to recall every Attraction and the orders that we did them in. Suffice to say by the time it came to illuminations our feet were wrecked and apparently the sweat was evaporating off my head as i walked. Literally I was Steaming. We always avail of our Infinity Pass ticket for Illuminations. I understand there are mixed feelings on Dis-Twitter about them. Personally i think they are a fantastic show that makes my eyes sweat quite a bit thinking about friends that have gone before me and could never do what I have done with my Family.

Of course one of the highlights of this trip foe me was when Holly decided to brave the Temple. She took her first ride on Indiana Jones. It felt great as a father to have my daughter who actually has a very similar sense of humor sit beside me for what has become her second favorite ride besides RC racer. You go girl

Of course we had a great time jumping from park to park and enjoying the pool. The one thing I was disapointed about was the fact that i tried a couple of times to book us into the pool at the Newport Bay or Sequoia Lodge and they were all full. What harm we just hopped onto the next bus and back to the slides in our pool at Hotel Explorers.

This finishes today's installment of our summer 18 Disneyland Paris trip.
Thank you for taking the time to read and please leave me some feedback.
